PRECISE PRO RX Carotid Stent System
Clinical Indication
Carotid artery stenting (CAS) for treatment of symptomatic and asymptomatic carotid stenosis demands a stent platform with the radial force to resist recoil, the cell geometry to trap friable atherosclerotic debris, and the conformability to adapt to the carotid bulb’s natural curvature — all in a rapid-exchange delivery system that minimizes procedural complexity for the neurointerventionalist.
The PRECISE PRO RX Platform
The PRECISE PRO RX Carotid Stent System is a self-expanding nitinol carotid stent system for carotid artery stenting procedures in patients at elevated surgical risk.
Constructed from a single piece of nitinol, laser-cut to a closed-cell geometry that provides consistent radial force distribution across the lesion length while minimizing prolapse of plaque material through stent struts during and after deployment. Nitinol’s thermal shape memory ensures full self-expansion at body temperature after low-profile delivery through the rapid-exchange catheter system, and the stent is visible under fluoroscopic guidance via embedded radiopaque marker bands at both ends. The system is FDA-approved for use in conjunction with emboli protection devices to reduce periprocedural stroke risk, consistent with the neurointerventional standard of care.
