AVANTI+ Catheter Sheath Introducer

The AVANTI+ Catheter Sheath Introducer is one of Cordis’s most established and clinically trusted vascular access platforms — a high-performance sheath introducer engineered for reliable arterial and venous access across a broad range of interventional cardiology and vascular procedures.

Mechanism of Action

At the core of the AVANTI+ is the proprietary SLIX hemostasis valve, a slit-seal design that maintains consistent backbleed control during catheter exchanges without requiring manual side-port clamping — a meaningful ergonomic and clinical advantage during complex multi-catheter procedures.

Available in 4Fr through 11Fr, with shaft lengths of 5.5, 7.5, 11, and 23 cm, the introducer accepts 0.035” guidewires and is constructed with a thin-walled inner sheath that maximizes the inner diameter-to-French ratio, improving catheter trackability and reducing access site trauma. The radiopaque distal tip enables precise fluoroscopic positioning, and the dilator-sheath system transitions smoothly to minimize venotomy or arteriotomy enlargement.
