AQUATRACK Hydrophilic Nitinol Guidewire
Engineering Specification
The AQUATRACK Hydrophilic Nitinol Guidewire is a 0.035” nitinol-core peripheral interventional guidewire with a full-length hydrophilic coating, available in straight and angled distal tip configurations for a wide spectrum of peripheral vascular intervention cases.
Clinical Benefit
Nitinol’s superelastic properties give the AQUATRACK exceptional kink resistance through tortuous iliac, femoral, and tibial anatomy. The hydrophilic coating — activated by saline irrigation at the field — dramatically reduces trackability friction to support smooth advancement through tight, angulated, or diseased vessel segments that would deflect or bind a conventional PTFE wire.
The angled tip configuration allows precise directional steering in bifurcated anatomy or across complex lesion morphology, and the wire’s pushability profile is calibrated to communicate tactile feedback to the operator’s hand without buckling under forward load.
